Athlone Community Radio will again be hosting one of their famous Table Quiz’s on Thursday 18th Febraury 2010 at The Prince Of Wales Hotel in Athlone.
The quiz kicks off at 8.30pm with tables of four costing 10.00 euro per person.

I hope you all had a good break over the festive season. The news for 2010 is that we are working hard on obtaining our full broadcasting license from the BAI. 2010 should be an exciting and challenging year for Athlone Community Radio with new schedules, training, fundraising events, new programmes ideas, programme production and [...]

The emphasis is on delivering complimentary content to our broadcast programmes and allow listeners to become involved, contribute, criticise or just say hello. Since we’re only settling in yet we’d really appreciate feedback, good, bad or indifferent. We encourage you to register, so you can be informed of our activities and also be able to participate in discussions and forums.

We are looking for volunteers for a bag pack in Tesco’s supermarket, Golden Island, Athlone on the following dates:
Thursday 5th of November and Saturday 7th November

11am to 1pm
3pm to 5pm
5pm to 7pm

If you are willing and available for any of these dates or times, please let us know by Friday 29th October 2009.

We have finished our second Temporary Broadcast License phase, broadcasting on 88.4 fm and are now applying for our full broadcasting license.

As we await our over the air broadcast license you can still listen to our live programming from our studio. Programming is presented from 4pm to 8pm, seven days a week.
From 8pm through to 4pm the following day, a repeat stream of the days online broadcast will be available.

Athlone Community Radio has been awarded a national award for its programme “Class Mates”, in the category of Social Gain at the CRAOL Achievements Awards 2008.
