Special Thanks to our St. Patricks Day Volunteers

Athlone Community Radio would like to express a big hearty thank you to all those volunteers who braved the wind and rain on St. Patrick’s Day and helped with the the Athlone Community Radio float in this years parade.

Thanks especially to Fintan O’Toole who aided with setting up and taking items from the truck, what a Viking! Well done Sharon for your participation and for preparing your children so well. They are a credit to you!

Thanks to Chambi who looked great and also for having your mammy Catherine dressed the part.

Well done Dean Carroll , Padraig Fallon , Shane Griffin (especially for filling in and unloading) Simmee and Pat our driver.

Thanks to Gerry for transporting items to depot and Quinn Transport for the float. Go raibh míle maith agat to Cáit, Aoife and Diarmuid who aided in the cutting, painting, screwing, burning, transport, design and cleaning up! (Aoife designed and created the amazing Loch Ness monster head using pyrography!)

And also, thank you to those behind the scenes such as Deirdre Hunt and Mary Lennon and to the people who contributed to the meetings, making the event possible.
