Presenter on Athlone Today

A presenter prepares (with the help of series producer and researchers) and delivers the whole programme using prepared, including conducting interviews with a variety of guests, introducing pre-recorded interviews and slots, lining up adverts, and playing sponsors jingle on time.

General Information

This role requires training in both the technical side and the guidelines of broadcasting rules. A starting volunteer receives initial training on the job and supporting manuals depending on their role; additional QQI level training based on volunteers’ needs and interests may be provided depending on matching specific funding criteria.

Remote participation, full or partial, is possible after learning the skills required for the position and consultations with the supervisor.
