Podcast: Samaritans 26th annual concert

The 26th annual Christmas festival concert in aid of Athlone Midlands Samaritans. The concert took place in the Franciscan Friary in Athlone on Wednesday 6th December 2017. The compère for the evening was Teresa Mannion from RTÉ.

The Athlone Midland Samaritans is a completely voluntary organisation dedicated to befriending the lonely, the despairing, and the suicidal, 24 hours a day. The Athlone branch has 81 volunteers and no paid staff. They are completely dependent on the generosity and support of the people and businesses of Athlone and the midlands area for funding to meet the costs of running the service. The proceeds of this concert were a very important part of funding for 2018.
