. The 1st National Meals on Wheels Network Conference, celebrating the role of Meals on Wheels in Ireland, will be held on Friday 25th November at The Athlone Springs Hotel, from 11am to 4pm. . The Schoolhouse Quilters are holding a patchwork and quilting exhibition in St Mary’s National School, Fairgreen, Athlone, opening on Friday November 25th from 7.30pm – 9pm. Also open Saturday; 11am – 5pm and Sunday 11am – 4pm. All are welcome and admission is free. There will be a raffle for a patchwork quilt in aid of the RNLI.
. As the festive season draws near, Lough Ree RNLI throws open the doors of the lifeboat station at Coosan Point for a special Christmas sale next Saturday afternoon, November 26th from 1pm. RNLI Christmas Cards, plus other RNLI merchandise are central to the charity’s fund-raising drive at the time of the year. All are welcome to attend.
