From Major to Minor

This Sunday’s “From Major to Minor” will feature a special show on one of the most colourful pioneer jazzmen, Ferd “Jelly Roll” Morton, who was born on 20 September around 1890, or a few years earlier. His “Jelly Roll Blues” was the first published jazz composition in 1915, and his business cards declared him as the “originator of jazz, stomps and swing”, which isn’t too far off the truth.

Be sure to tune in at 16:30 if you would like to know more and hear some of Jelly Roll’s classic sounds
