Westmeath County Council is seeking public views on what might be included in a new Heritage and Biodiversity Plan, which will be their statement of intent in relation to the heritage and biodiversity of Westmeath and will set out key areas of focus for the next five years. Initial consultation on the plan has commenced and submissions are invited until July 8th. A public information session on the preparation of the Heritage and Biodiversity Plan will take place in Athlone Library on Tuesday June 21st from 6.30pm – 7.30pm
