. Athlone Drug Awareness Group will host a public meeting to deal with issues on-going in the town. The event will take place at 7.30pm in the Shamrock Lodge Hotel on Monday October 9th. Members of the public are welcome to attend to express any concerns they may have in relations community issues.

The Midlands branch of Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind is holding an information event on Saturday, October 7th from 10am – 6pm in the foyer of the Golden Island Shopping Centre where you can find out about making a real impact in someone’s life by becoming a puppy raiser. The charity has an urgent need for puppy raisers across the country.
. St Joseph’s football club is delighted to announce that they will host a Gala Ball to celebrate their 25th anniversary.
