Innovative Athlone Community Radio’s documentary about famous Athlonian writer John Broderick. ‘Broderick Revisted’ re-imagines Broderick’s life and relationship with Athlone through a series of reminiscences from people who knew him (Gearoid O’Brien, Harry Smith and Malachy O Higgins) and through dramatic monologues by a talented contemporary writer Jason Gill in which, in effect, Broderick speaks from beyond his grave. The words are told by Brian Toolan. Local group ‘Poetry in The Park’ were so kind to devote one of its readings to the work of John Broderick and their contribution to this documentary is priceless.
The traditional music is arranged and performed by Terry Donovan , Sound Mastering by Jonathan Callaghan, art work by Amanda Gunning and Interviewer, Editor and Producer is Irena Djak Cvetkovic.
